The ring is based on actual artefacts found in China during the Eastern Zhou period (771-256 BC)

Ali Bow closely observed an antique ring and made an accurate copy from it, and it works perfectly for both target shooting on foot and speed shooting on horseback.

Unique feature of the ring:

The inner shape is oval, but instead of needing to turn the ring 90 degrees to lock behind the joint, this ring is pushed straight over the joint to lock.
