This bamboo bow is based on bows of the Chu Kingdom during the feudal era of ancient China.
The original bow is a short reflex bamboo bow that Ali Bow has enlarged, to suit longer draw lengths. The bending limbs of the bow is laminated with natural bamboo and modern glue.
This makes the Bamboo Chu bow one of the few asiatic bows that qualify for the "Historical" category in IFAA competition shoots, in which archers may use a thumb ring!
