Mid Qing Dynasty Manchu Quiver, Basic Edition
Thick leather military quiver with leather covered base and stitched edge line.
This entry level Qing Dynasty, Manchu style Quiver, is an un-decorated, yet authentic interpretation of a parade quiver from the mid Qing Dynasty in terms of construction techniques and practical features. Inspired by the 18th century quiver #91 in the Palace Museum Collection, Beijing.
* This quiver comes standard with our universal archer's belt for a one-size-fits-all solution.
* Tested on horseback.
* Pictured with 12 36" Manchu Arrows. This quiver will easily take 15 arrows.
Features such as the wool arrow blanket makes for a practical, yet historically accurate design, ideal for foot and mounted archery.
- Natural, veg tanned leather with solid brass fittings
- Universal archery belt with solid brass Chinese belt hook
- Three period-correct mounting points with leather belt straps
- Wool felt arrow blanket for holding the arrows, just like in historical examples
- Period-correct arrow blanket tightening straps
- Solid wood base for good balance
- Three front arrow slits for ready-arrows
- NOTE: This quiver is designed to be stuffed with dry pine needles as per historical examples. Pine needles are still the best, and most historically accurate stuffing for your quiver to keep your arrows separated, tight, dry and quiet.
Unfortunately, due to international customs restrictions, we don't ship the quivers with pine needles, but we'll send instructions on how to fill your quiver with real pine needles yourself!
